Okay, this should be “girls’ basketball team”. Before thou protesteth, let me explain.
Women, men, boys, and girls each have basketball teams, right? For the women, you’d write it “Women’s basketball team”. For the men, you’d write it “Men’s basketball team”. Similarly, it should be “Girls’ basketball team” and “Boys’ basketball team”. Just as “Women basketball team” is incorrect, so is “Girls basketball team”.
You don’t often see it written this way in articles about sports, etc. because the people writing those articles are retards whose life accomplishment was graduating middle school.
Yes, yes. I realize that this is literally what he’s saying. But let’s drill to the heart of the matter and get in some better language.

Oh god, does this line read poorly.

Not sure why this got capitalized.

Besides the girls basketball thing, everything else was good. Two rephrasing suggestions and one legit error. Kara’s fine and the typesetting’s readable. Good job.
