Karaoke.
Opening. Nothing wrong with this. Colors match and the font makes sense.
Ending. No subs.

Script Quality

OP was fine.
ED was not.
Main Script.
“Hand over all of data”? lol
“I, Scarecrow, will hunt you down and bleed you dry!”
The bit about “sucking her to the bone” is completely unnecessary and kind of counterproductive to the idea of making a meaningful threat. That is, it sounds stupid.
Actually, the phrase is “throw a fit”.
“Those rebel armies the media throws a fit over don’t even possess 0.1% of the guns.”
I don’t think she was talking about “being related to violence” here.
“Are there any people out there who are untouched by violence?”
“The target mafioso’s house was across a river.”
A member of the mafia is called a mafioso.
Timing Review

Results.
Watchability: Watchable.
Timing Grade:
Visual grade: C
Script grade: B-
Overall grade (timing results not factored in): C+
What really sunk Asenshi’s grade was their lack of karaoke in the ED. Let’s pretend their karaoke was good and they didn’t have any errors. That would bring their overall grade up to a B+. Kind of a big difference.
If a group were to skip out on translating the OP and ED, that’s essentially the same as skipping one out of every ten lines in an episode. And, no, I don’t find that acceptable.
But for those of you looking at this grade and going “Oh, these subs aren’t that much better than gg’s, so I’m justified in continuing to watch gg’s release.”, I gotta say you’re retarded. I know brand-name worship is rampant even among the people who visit this site, but you’d have to be honto braindead to look at gg’s script and pretend it comes anywhere close to this one. This script is better than average for this season even without karaoke for the ED. gg, however, doesn’t have any editors and they don’t have any QCs. The final scripts they produce are almost always shit, so get that through your fucking heads already.
If you want to watch Jormungand, watch Asenshi’s release. End of story.
Hey Dark Sage, anymore reviews coming in today?
ShinBunBu-Hadena’s Acchi Kocchi. Maybe something else if I’m feeling like it.
*grabs popcorn*
*falls asleep instead*
Don’t they use Funi’s subs? No wonder they’re better (although slower).
Pretty sure they do.
“Release format: MKV (681 MB, 10-bit)”
Pretty large for 720p.
They think all the grain the studio added looks cool even though it’s obviously fake.
We actually have the karaoke for the ED, just not for this episode. (In the next episode(s), the first ED is being played again)
The reason why there wasn’t any karaoke is because Funimation didn’t include them. :/
Oh thank god, I didn’t know there was another option. I’m not sure why I hate gg’s Jormungand so much, but it pisses me off just looking at it. They clearly don’t know how to spell “Mr.” and Ms.” because every time I see gg use them, they say “Mr” and “Ms”. I always correct everything after watching each episode just so I don’t have to feel disgusted about keeping it on my hard drive. I’ve never watched any of their other stuff, but I find their Jormungand to be much harder to watch without distraction than anything else I’ve watched, and I have seen both of Hadena’s latest F-tier releases. For this show, I will happily wait as long as it takes for Asenshi’s release.
It’s an American English / British English thing, don’t get your knickers in a twist over it.
What, Mr. and Mrs.? I’m British and I’ve always included the periods…
Though it’s nothing to get your panties in a knot over :D
http://www.dailywritingtips.com/does-mr-take-a-period/
gg’s British? I never knew that.
No, but both people working on the show are European so it doesn’t surprise me. My point is that it’s still technically valid English and not really worth getting worked up over.
>I always correct everything after watching each episode just so I don’t have to feel disgusted about keeping it on my hard drive.
Lolwut?
I’m saying that if I’m going to keep subs that don’t usually make much sense on my hard drive, it’s basically a waste of space. I did exaggerate a bit, though, I’m not actually throwing up in my mouth or anything like that.
And to Xythar, ah, I had no idea; that’s interesting. Well, that makes it more tolerable, I thought they just hated periods.
You’ve really never run into OCD perfectionism until now?
*Ahem* Welcome to the internet Mahjong, apparently this is your first week here.

You really misinterpreted my commend like that?
*Ahem* *ahem* *ahem* *ahem*
Welcome to the internet, beta, apparently this is your first week here too.
comment, even.
Font Review: [Asenshi] Jormundgand (Episode 04)
Grade: Not Lt Finnegan but pretty close… out of Lt Finnegan.
Fuck, Jormungand.
lol whocares about op/ed, looks like i got to get these
Even if this sub is better, they’re reaaaally slow. gg releases Jormungand on mondays, but Asenshi’s new ep. is still nowhere.
Which is countered by gg not having worked on anything seriously or, well, “well” since Kara no Kyoukai. And that one was an outside TL.
