It’s like Gundam, but watchable.
Just kidding. This show sucks.

Visual Review
Karaoke.
There was no OP this episode.
The insert/ED song was unsubbed, which is a bit disappointing considering it was the only good thing about the ep.
Typesetting.
The title had more lines devoted to it than the rest of the script… thirty-two times over.
Not really sure why — doesn’t look all that impressive to me.
Other.
Color-coding text? I guess Commie’s taking tips from 2008.
Script Review
Main Script.
Yeah, you’re gonna want a comma to indicate the two distinct actions.
“Let’s get nice and close, then go in for the kill!”
How does she expect them to analyze their reasoning behind their inability to work as a team? The reasoning itself would be the analysis.
I think Jeffrey Dahmer smoothed a baby’s skin once.
you
had
one
job
Except you did ask.
Commie, the line you wanted is “I should have never asked.” Don’t feel bad though, I’m sure you’ll get it next time!
Why the fuck do you think he’s responding in the affirmative? He’s not, because that would make no sense.
“Well, that’s…” or “Well, uh…” is all you should have here. (The Japanese is just some generic “Ah, sore wa…” so I don’t get where you’re drawing these stupid conclusions from)
This comes right after that previous exchange above, but it… doesn’t fit. “suck” is a pretty sucky insult here. Try something like…
“Don’t even try to cheer her up if you’re gonna flake out on the response like that.”
…you sucky suckers. (so zing)
It would be the GDF. I assume it stands for something like Global Defense Force, but regardless of what it actually means, the GDF is an organization and needs the direct article when it’s referred to like this.
For when periods are too short and ellipses are too long..
Try reading this one again, Commie. Or have your mom read it to you, I don’t know how you guys operate over there.
A what of people? Commie, I know you think this is English, but no… You’re not hitting the mark.
“But we can still change the tide of war if we swiftly evacuate as many people as we can.”
cutting-edge. Minor complaint? Sure. But if I don’t correct ’em now, Commie will never learn. My desire to help them is too great!
The timing is nowhere close to being accurate on this line. Expect to pause the video here if you want to read it. (Not even gonna touch the jargon that litters this scene.)
It’s a command, so the targets need to be addressed properly.
“All vessels, enter detachment mode.”
“Closed”? I assume this came from a misinterpretation of “The hunt has come to a close.” And no, they don’t mean the same thing.
I’d have just gone with “The hunt is complete.” or “The hunt is over.” (which is what the original CR line had)
Results
Watchability: Watchable.
Visual grade: I dunno. We’ll just have it not factor in since there’s no kara this ep and the signs aren’t exactly prominent to warrant having a pull on the main script.
Script grade: C
Overall grade: C
A good portion of these issues were in the CR script as well. But they weren’t too hard to pick up on, so I’m surprised they got past an edit of the script.
I assume Commie’s gonna be the only group that hates themselves enough to sub this show, so I guess it’s good that these subs are watchable at least, but I think it’s fair to expect a bit more from a Crunchyedit like this.
This was a bit unusual to watch. Not positive I’ll follow through to the end, but I’ll at least give the second and maybe third episodes a go.
Wow, ‘maximum of people’– how does one mess it up so bad?
Why is it green? Anyway, it seems like they don’t QCed the script or their QCer is…
I was under the impression Commie don’t QC.
They don’t speak Japanese, which CR had indicated with tags wrapping the text. I guess Commie went with green because that’s the predominant color used by/shown with the aliens.
B-But because of the green, the script is doomed.
I realise that as the perpetrator of the Line Offline font cancer, this may be a strange sentence coming from me but: ARGH MY EYES, WHY MAKE IT GREEN?!
That is all.
*cough* I can’t say I ever noticed Line Offline’s font. It fits the show too well.
You’re very kind. Do you work on it with me under a different nick? :D
Nope (lol)
I just like the show and am glad it’s being done.
“But we can still change the tide of war if we swiftly evacuate as many people as we can.”
That is some nasty war.

I think the point is that it can’t be intransitive when you use “people” – i.e. you can still evacuate people FROM a building or an area. So yeah, it requires a bit more explanation in English.
AOTS
considering I will never watch OreImo S2 (Mazui dropped this) and Railgun S
D_S, will you kindly sub this for us?
Not ever.
so there is no plan for Spring 2013?
To what, sub as [Whine-Subs]? Nope, nothing on the table other than finishing up Hyobu.
