Main Script.
“Actually, we were sorting out her inventions.”
Lala wasn’t mentioned as a subject, and in the next scene you can see both Sairenji and Rito helping her.
I’ll give them a benefit of a doubt and assume they meant to write “too,” but you can see how simple typos like that can lead to HUGE misunderstandings.
They went to the nearest J-E dictionary they can find and put “honest” down for sunao. The word you’re looking for is “submissive” or something of that variant.
Yes, I’m an unrepentant weeboo, and I like my honorifics and Onee-chans, but I only like it if they’re done right. Here you should just have Rito say “your sister” here.
Nice use of a stock phrase there, shooter.
So Sairenji says shita. Yes, it does mean “the lower,” but use your noodle. She’s telling him to take off the panties, do you know anyone who calls panties “the lower part”? Don’t talk, I’ll answer for you: no!
Instead of “That tickles!” they have… this -_-#
Forgot to add “Stop it!” here.
Didn’t translate a whole bunch of “hais” here.
If you’re wondering if they’re studying Biology II, you’re on your own.
There was only one waza to ja nai, but they had two lines to reflect that statement.
I heard aa, mazui mazui! (Ah, crap, crap!)
Other Observations
Didn’t typeset the “ru” in To Love-ru.
Timing was all over the place in this release.
You capitalize forms of address.
Here’s how you fix this, hoss:
Dialogue: 0,0:04:03.74,0:04:06.24,Default,,0,0,0,,Wh-What do {\i1}you{\i0\fscx130} {\r\}think, Yuuki-kun?
No.
That’s not how you do speech breaks.
You know what? I wonder if English is even these guys’s first language, so I open up their script and lookie what I found:
Dialogue: 0,0:01:25.17,0:01:28.30,Default,,0,0,0,,So, that’s how it is.{oh, jadi begitu}
Dialogue: 0,0:02:49.98,0:02:51.70,Default,,0,0,0,,Well, whatever…{yah terserahlah}
Dialogue: 0,0:05:21.40,0:05:24.00,Default,,0,0,0,,You seem very honest today.{sepertinya kau sangat jujur hari ini}
I don’t even know what the fuck is being written between those brackets. Urdu?
Final Grade: B-
If you want an accurate script (using the most charitable definition of the word “accurate” btw), you got one right here. However, although I won’t go as far as to say that I can eat a can of alphabet soup and shit out a better script than this, this is a pretty amateurish offering of which I can recommend that you get it only if you can’t wait for more polished subs.
Hahaha,, Bahasa Indonesia..
Okay, not just any boring-ass Indonesion, it’s Bahasa Indonesian, gotcha.
“Bahasa Indonesia” translated from Indonesian to English means “Indonesian {language}”
Indonesian.
Thanks. This is probably the part where I ask what they mean, but to be honest I don’t really give a two rat’s feet.
Well I was curious and according to Google translate they have the same sentences in the brackets but in Indonesian. By the way the misspelling of “too” should have given away that they are not native speakers, these are typical mistakes or at least I hope that native speakers wouldn’t make them.
just to tell you, the words in the brackets is indonesian language.
Funny thing is, Google tried to tell me it’s Russian ┐( ̄ー ̄)┌
i have tried it in google and it said “Indonesian”. seems like your google and mine was different ┐( ̄ー ̄)┌
how about shi0n’s? I find his subs great.
Spoiler alert: I didn’t.
Oh, so this is where all it started… Well, at least he find it great XD. Anyway, every people have their own opinion for something.
Nipples? IN MY ANIMU?! Nothx
Yes, because of recent broadcast standards, we sometimes forget that these Chinese cartoons do sometimes contain nudity :3
> Didn’t typeset the “ru” in To Love-ru.
I’m gonna go out on a leg here and say they didn’t typeset anything – the studio did.
I’m almost positive that “Darkness” was indeed typeset. Had that been done by the studio, I imagine they would’ve slanted it to match the rest of the text.
I was actually mildly impressed that they knew how to use gradients. Too bad about the font choice though.
Awful choice for the main dialogue font, but otherwise not too bad.
People who like ecchi shit have pretty low standards, it seems.
As a minion of that “backwaters” Commie-Subs group, you’re an expert for “pretty low standards”, aren’t you?
