Karaoke.
No OP or ED, natch.
Main Script.
I thought I heard him say, “I’m going to add up all the balances in my checkbook, and call that my real balance,” but I guess that means I don’t know how to balance a Japanese checkbook either.
“Inventions” would be the better term for kaihatsu.
Fun fact: she calls him shirobuta (his name plus “pig”) which also means “white honky cracker” in Japanese.
I’d go with “that’s no longer just underwear.”
You don’t quite hear Shiro, but he says, “Sumiko-san, that was awesome, they’re really cute and they [the panties] look good on you.”
The term kiai wo ireru also means to mete out some form of corporal punishment to someone who’s too lax. So I would go with, “Slap some sense into your privates!” here, because the way it’s written now it sounds like she wants him to have an erection.
“Slugger” not “slacker.”
Other Observations
Crunchyroll is also selective in what it typesets in this typeset-heavy show.
Crunchyroll seemed to have a little too much fun with the sound effects.
Final Grade: A-
As expected of Crunchyroll, they did a yeoman’s job, but unfortunately their script did not make this show any more enjoyable.
Thank you for the review, was kinda bummed that 8th can’t do this anymore but at least you are doing more lately. Hopefully you’ll review some shows that exist for more than making everything else look better in comparison to this sad excuse for entertainment.
