Main Script.
Well, technically? It’s more of a time loop, but considering he said “leap” in Engrish, I’ll give the script kiddies a break here.
Not nearly chuuni enough. I wanna see something brutally stupid here, because right after this the anime cuts to your standard “birds chirping” moment, indicating this was supposed to be comedic.
“Death’s Recycling Bin” // “Reverse Funeral” // “Live, Die, Repeat”
I’m unfortunately not dumb enough for this shit, but I’m sure someone in the Crunchyroll crew is. Guys, crowdsource this shit next time. I want to pretend to laugh at anime like all the cool kids do.
I’d say “indulge in his hero complex” but I’d be indulging in my self-satisfaction if I gave you that line with a straight face.
I wanted to throw out a semi-famous quote about fate here, but all I could think of changing the line to was “Fate, uh, finds a way…” Fucking meme garbage has ruined me.
Make it generic or something, I don’t care at this point. “I guess there is such a thing as fate after all.”
This line just straight up makes no sense. Subaru’s supposed to be calling for guards here.
“But if you were to resort to extreme measures,”//”as a knight, I would have to respond accordingly.”
The line sounds much cooler with Reinhard offering thinly veiled threats rather than bluntly saying “I’mma smack you with my sword stick.” His whole schtick is edged humility anyway.
Closer to “discouraging”/”dispiriting”, really. He’s sad that no one else gave a shit, not that no one did. Reinhard wouldn’t reject the only guy I’m looking for him to fuck in doujins.
“Think along the lines of, ‘If you break it, you’ll buy it.'”//”And I mean that literally.”
If you see a pun in Japanese, you gotta at least try to go for it in English. That’s a scriptwriter’s pride.
“terrifying”? Come on, now. At least low-effort it with something like “cruel”.
Most of the issues I had aren’t dealbreakers, cuz as I said earlier this script is leaps and bounds above the ones we were presented with in both parts of episode 1.
Still, while I will cede room on the correction front (it’s hard to pun on a full liver), the mistakes I pointed out are legitimate. My Engrish-hunting skills are only enhanced with liquid spite.
“…as a knight, I will have to respond accordingly.”
First conditional: 1
Dark_Sage: 0
(Of course you could second-conditional it by changing “wish” to “wished” in the previous line, but either way, you’re wrong.)
Granted.
“I already spent $40 to get Subaru’s wig from some Chinese sweat shop, so we’re in this for the long haul.”
coming from you, i can’t tell if this is a joke or not
I even bought the chips. This is happening.
Really? You’re not going for Tanaka instead? Well I guess if you wanted to get totally meta you would just ware your normal cloths and call it done.
(Did you get the right cup ramen as well?)
I wasn’t planning to cosplay, but I was on ebay, had a sufficient amount of beverage, and saw I could get Subaru’s outfit for $45 + $30 priority shipping. Skip forward a few more drinks and so far I’ve got everything on order but the nose job and the ramen.
Can’t even tell what the ramen’s supposed to be. I’m thinking Myojo, but I might just have to mock something up and paste it over a normal ramen box. http://www.crymore.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/TheList.jpg
It’s just a throwaway costume for an insignificant con (Anime Detour) — I’ll get something better (& custom) when I hit up a con I’m actually interested in.
China never came through so the dream died rip
I wish I didn’t have a life so I could keep up with anime.
CR video is terrible.
But they use honorifics in the European-style fantasy. It’s like one of the stupidest things translator can do.
DDY’s Re:Zero review when
Oh yeah, fuck I stalled out again, didn’t I?
No, it was all me, Dio.
