C3
Release format: MKV (313 MB, 10-bit)
Japanesiness: Honorifics.
Opening: The opening is chaptered, meaning that if you want to watch this release with the opening, you need to grab their OP file along with the episode itself. Their reasoning is that the OP takes up 70 megabytes so it would add too much to each episode’s filesize if they didn’t chapter it.
Karaoke.
Opening.
Ending.
Both the opening and ending fit their respective parts. The colors were well chosen.
Typesetting.
UTW provided the bottom English text here. It fits really nicely.
Similar to the last one, UTW did a good job adding their text here. “Even if I Were to be Cursed” and “Chapter 5” were both added by the group.
It blends in really nicely.
Script.
Timing error. The line starts here, where she says “Anata”.

“but” is overused here and it looks bad considering there are only 9 words in this shot and the “but”s are stacked. Why is this bad? Because it reads like shit. Try to vary your word choice.
“however, I have no choice but to believe you.”
or
“but I have no choice except to believe you.”
You mean “comply with”?
Another timing fuck-up. Yes, there are words here.
Tenses are not that hard.
“B-But if I stopped fighting, I’d just be something you’d have to protect.”
or
“B-But if I stop fighting, I’ll just be something you have to protect.”
And another timing mistake. Dear UTW, I’m starting to think you didn’t QC this.
She’s asking herself if the situation in front of her is acceptable (her koibito-kun getting his ass kicked, basically).
“Is this all right?”
Watchability: Watchable.
Overall grade: B
The script’s good, and I have no complaints with the typesetting and karaoke… but you take a few risks when you don’t bother to QC. Regardless of their mistakes, I’d still recommend this group for C3 as they have the best release out there.
Whats next after C3
Mashiro and Tamayura. Hunter x Hunter if I’m still sane after those two borefests.
