And the last review for this series goes to Evetaku. They also released an earlier v0 version, but they only changed a few lines for this release, nothing major that I could see.

OP. I really wished at least one group would go full Georgia O’Keeffe with the English translations, but I guess it can’t be helped. Evetaku here decided to get creative with the lyrics instead of relying heavily on a dictionary, and it works well. However, in this line I swear upon my virginity that I heard toiki no atsusa de instead of toiki no atsusa wa. If it’s the former, then the lyrics should be “With your hot, bated breath, come eat at my wet, steamy, engorged rose petals that is slowly dripping with the juices of my womanhood…” shit, where was I? Anyhoo, “de” makes more sense than “wa,” although I have been taught the hard way several times that Japanese lyrics, more often than not, don’t make perfect sense -_-*
ED. Similarly well done, although I believe that’s supposed to be shin’en (深淵).
Main Script.
She means mendou in the sense that having to deal with her spirit is more trouble than she needs.
A-plus. Probably the best version of this line I’ve seen in all the releases.
They decided to transmogrify Kanaria into some kind of Jeopardy contestant and made most of her lines into forms of a question. I think they found the best way to adapt her peculiar ~kashira verbal tick into English.
That’s a weird way of saying “Ceylon tea.”
I’d change “find” to “obtain” and we’ll be golden.
Other Observations
While Asenshi used a bunch of elaborate /t transformations to transition out of this scene, Evetaku opted for a simple fadeout. However, because they decided to keep the typesetted words inside the circle, they are forced to do a fuckton of /iclips, so they deserve credit for that.
This is one of the better ways to handle this sign.
Final Grade: A-
A couple of hiccups kept this release from getting a full A, but all in all this is a really strong script that is clearly targeted toward a more choosier audience than impatient leechers who are perfectly fine with watching quasi-transliterations than carefully thought-out translations. Evetaku may release their episodes a little later, but it will definitely be worth the wait to get their subs.
You doutei (✿◠‿◠)
Doutei banzaii!
What’s up next? Would be great if you could do Monogatari, I’m really curious how DAISUKI did in comparison to Commie.
That’s easy to compare. Daisuki typesetting is crap, the subs are too literal and the font sucks.
Yeah, I’m aware of that. Still interested in how accurate they are.
To be honest, I don’t know if I’ll be able to do Monogatari this week, but keep your fingers crossed.
have my babies kokujinkun
FINALLY! Thought you’d never ask :3
