CR took care of nearly every sign that mattered. I felt they could have done more, but they did get the vast majority of what was required, so they deserve a thumbs up for that. Way to actually compete with fansubs, CR.

Why the fuck would you ever co-opt an idiom like this? It’s just die, not cry.

Yeah, she said “chibi”, but that doesn’t mean you’re forced to 1:1 it. You take people out of the experience when characters say things that no one ever would in situations like these.

Since “midget” is a shit insult for anyone who actually doesn’t have a complex about their height, you need to come up with a different insult that utterly deflates them as shown in the video. You have a full list of pejoratives to choose from, so have at it, you midgets.

The good.

CR knocked it out of the park with phrasing and characterization. This was the first release I saw where everything fit together like a human being of value wrote the script.

And no, it wasn’t just the show being funny. Compare these lines to Commie’s and FFF’s:

Commie: The glasses were the real you?!

FFF: This was the mainframe?!

Commie:

I can’t believe it! She’s acting like a newborn fawn!
>A discrepancy that makes her more charming?!

FFF:

Mizushima’s acting like a newborn fawn!

Commie:

Unless DameDesuYo surprises me with their 07 release, I can’t imagine any fansub beating Crunchyroll’s subs for this show. This was a damn good release.

I feel sorry for any of you who watched this show with fansubs, because I can guarantee you would have enjoyed it more with a competent script.
