While it’s not very good, this is likely the best we’re gonna get from official subs in the near future.
I’m just glad they’re trying. Same can’t be said for many fansub groups.
Script Review
Main Script.
Depression is a lot closer to how she was acting than “apathy”.
“Science Experiment Lab 1” would be a more sensible way to write this. I don’t think I’ve ever seen school rooms labeled with “First”/”Second”/etc. as a means to differentiate between them.
Homophone confusion is a serious issue in schools these days. Please neuter or spay your local low-tiers to protect the English language.
Medusa is so fucking great.
Overall, there’s not really much for me to rant about in this release. I could go off on all the lines that are technically right (or right enough), detailing why various changes would give the script a more quality heft… or I could talk about Medusa.
God I love Medusa.
…Yeah, that’s all I’ve got. Onto the end of the review!

Assuming you can deal with the delay, Crunchyroll’s subs are the way to go for this show. I highly recommend watching this release over the FFF and Watakushi-Nameless versions.
C-CR is better than FFF?! This is heresy.
My personal guess about why CR script is better is that they read the english TL of the manga, since the show is almost scene-for-scene straight from it.
What.
Yeah, they read Vertical’s September 2014 release with the help of a time machine.
Go to mangafox.me, type Witch Craft Works into the search, up comes an english TLd version of it.
I seriously doubt that using scanlations as a source for subtitles is the way to go.
CR translators work from the original Japanese script for the anime.
Yeah. It’s pretty hard to compete with that if you stick to your own ears alone.
What. I might have been able to understand if you said manga raws, but reading a translation of the source material sounds retarded and kinda like cheating(if you’re copy/pasting dialog, I mean,) unless like, they were the ones who tled the manga as well. You’re already missing information when reading a translation of a language (plus your understanding of the dialog is how the manga tl understood it. it’s not always correct)
