ED only. Biggest problem I had with their translation are these two lines. It looked like they got confused about where one line ends in the original Japanese lyrics and the other one begins. It should be “I fell in love/I made a wish to the first star of the night.”

Main Script.

Literal translation is, “Isn’t it the fact that you’re excited [for the trip]?” but thank god Mezashite went and got creative with this line.

Judging by the comments in this line (“apparently required whenever you move” “then I’ll assume it’s the right term” “there is no right term”) that they weren’t sure if “residential paperwork” was the right translation for ten’nyuu todoke, and in this case their doubts were justified. It’s supposed to be “transfer paperwork” as in “transferring schools.” Since there were three instances of “residential” appearing in their script, hopefully they won’t mind if I dock them three errors.

Okay, looks like Etoce’s right in that this is a residential form, and they’ve earned themselves a new grade.

Wish they typesetted the left-hand sign about how dangerous the area is and how the administrator won’t take any responsibility for any accidents.

Oh well, I guess it’s not like it has anything to do with the story.

All I heard was “I’m a magician!” I guess they wanted to add a little flair.

Should be they never let her study.

It’s kyozetsu sarete not kyozetsu shite, meaning he’s the passive object, not the active subject. So it should be “No matter how much she pushes me away…”

She said stuff about “crushed organs” in that line, but I guess 4.75 seconds is too little time to add that detail.

This line from Fukuzawa Yukichi’s Nikushoku no Setsu, was… not translated well. He was pointing out how his fellow Japanese hypocrites eat fish paste made from sharks that ate dead people.

This line continues this shit parade (pun intended). Again from Michael Bourdaghs translation:

“If you were to ask about the seafood soup made with black sea bream, they are fish that cluster around great ships and eat human feces.”

Those of you who are students of Japanese kana and kanji radicals will appreciate even more how much thought Mezashite put into this joke.

Final Grade: B A-

This release has its share of mistakes that might have been perfectly acceptable at another time and another place. But with Crunchyroll kicking ass in both speed and accuracy, they need to step up their game.
