New TL Party policy: I’m only going to include the first four releases for a series in each party. Reason being:
A. Five-group releases are lengthy to the point I couldn’t reasonably expect y’all to complete multiples of them.
B. It gives me a definitive date for when I can post the party. This means I don’t have to wait for releases that may or may not ever come.
Course, if you think that’s a bad policy, I’m all ears to your suggestions. But the IRCs seem to be fine with it, so we’re going with this for now.
Are funi subs D-tier territory again this season (for all their shows)?
I would hope they’ve learned, but I haven’t really looked at their shit yet, so I can’t say for certain.
Outta date by a day or two. Let me get to fixing it up in the morning. Need some rest before work though.
To cut down on the backlog, another TL Party update (two, actually):
1. Any releases outside of a one-week turnaround won’t be considered for TL Party inclusion.
2. For shows with three options, if one is an official release and two are just official release edits, then I won’t do a Party for that series. For shows with four options, even if there are three edits and an official release, they’ll still qualify for a Party.
As always, Parties are of lower priority to me than my normal reviews. So don’t be surprised if I don’t get to too many of them.

Wasn’t Akame gonna be reviewed first? Anyway, since TG first, don’t review Chyuu TG 2nd episode until V2 is out.
For what? TL Parties? No, Akame won’t be getting a TL Party anymore since I dq’d Hatsuyuki.

For the TL Party, sure, but then I dropped Hatsuyuki, so the series no longer qualified. For the main review order, I never changed it from SAO first.

Hey DS, Chihiro released Sailor Moon a few days ago and I saw it not on the list – probably since it was a pretty low key release. Don’t know if this was because it took a few days or what. And since you’re my only hope for an unbiased review, thought I’d mention it.

Oh right, I misspoke. DS is very very biased. He’s biased against every group and professional.
No, as much as I’ve complained about some of the ratings as being too harsh, they are at least fair. Chihiro has gotten an A and/or a recommendation above more popular groups in instances like To Aru Railgun and Kamisama no Memo-chou, and has been utterly trashed in stuff like Ketsuekigata-kun! and Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko.
On the other end of the spectrum, the cartel side, you have stuff like FFF getting an A from Noragami, and D-tier on Kyoukai no Kanata.
Compared to a site like bakabt that automatically approves stuff made by its members with no association with fansubbing, or nyaa that A+’s cartel releases while pretending to do a review, this site is much more reliable in terms of bias.

Did you guys actually edit it? The way you phrased it on Nyaa made me think the only changes you made were to the naming order.
Yeah, it’s edited. The CR script was pretty good but I think I was able to find room for improvement. I probably could’ve been a little clearer about that but already felt like I was blogging too much.

Didn’t bother to do a proper comparison between both but I’d say both are fine. I chose Chihiro’s because I liked their styling and KFX more.
just FYI dont bother about horrible tokyo ghoul. They screwed up encoding which made the colour bloat/saturate (not sure about the right term) a lot.

He disqualifies based on number of changes made to the simulcast script. Even if the release wasn’t very good, Hatsu made enough changes to the script to qualify. Commie didn’t.
Makes sense i guess , so to avoid disqualification …make your script really bad :P

Producing some release doesn’t seem that compelling to DS, judging from the amount of reviews he actually does in comparison to what is released and would qualify under his criteria.

Agreed. I want to see what D_S thinks of DDY’s kfx. Thought it was really good, personally. Also want to see if FFF’s A+ was justified.

I downloaded a bunch of stuff. Something like Tokyo ESP probably. Depends on if I scrap my Hatsuyuki review or not. It’s already somewhat done, but my motivation drops with every day I don’t finish something.
Man, Tokyo ESP is maybe the worst adaptation of the year.
If it’s the last of the season, why not Rokujouma? Such a refreshing show.
