I hate doing Funimation reviews because their awkward lines are annoying to fix and going screen by torturous screen to make individual corrections gives me a fucking migraine. So in honor of the Saiki-kun himself, let’s go with “simple is best” for once.
Honestly was not planning to post any of these screens outside of Twitter, but Funi’s Engrish triggered the fuck out of me today and I got kinda pissed off. So “enjoy” a sampling of what you’ll be subjected to if you decide to watch Funimation’s Saiki K.

How does this even happen? I mean, I know it happens cuz Funi doesn’t have QCs, but I had to ask anyway. (Sure, I could’ve got the point across with one image but this gives me an excuse to post plot.)

I think on average it’s better, but this is like the Special Olympics of subtitles…
At this point, anything seems to be better than Funi.
Loving all these peen references. Honestly, I can’t believe people actually get paid to make so many mistakes. I’ll have to make sure my application to Funi contains similarly strategically placed typos.

Weird. Funi has decent subs for Zestiria (way better than Daisuki). Their D.Gray is also quite good. But this one… meh.
Btw, there are more problems with this release. For an instance, overlaps. I can’t read any dialogues when more than one person is speaking. Lines appear in random order, they even cover like half of the screen at times.
