Recycled hate, original bait.
Part 1: http://www.crymore.net/2018/09/30/fall-2018-anime-preview-part-1-3-kill-normies-right-now/
The Rankings – Part 2
- Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru
- Yagate Kimi ni Naru
- Hinomaruzumou
- Dakaretai Otoko 1-i ni Odosarete Imasu.
- Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet
- Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara
- Radiant
- Goblin Slayer
- Release the Spyce
A bunch of these already have their first episodes aired, but last I checked none of you were even gonna watch anything this season anyway.
All TV airings this season (aka I didn’t forget anything, I just didn’t wanna write about it):
Things:
- I don’t do shorts and I (generally) don’t do franchises. Which is a shame cuz I had an amazing Kitsune no Ko pun already lined up for that awful utaite show.
- If I link a manga, I have read enough of that series to have an opinion on it.
- If I link an LN, I definitely haven’t read it cuz LNs suck.
- And if I link a doujin, it’s 100% that I wrote that part of the review with blurred vision from my cum-stained glasses.
- JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure sucks.
Deep Thoughts with Dark Sagey
Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru – Meh
tl;dr: Boy run. Boy run fast. Go, boy, go.
Manga/LN/L-A Film: I’m sure there’s links out there, but I’m not gonna be the one to find them.
Animation Production: Production I.G
Look, I can appreciate a series about Japanese sports. But being excited by Japanese runners? Don’t mean to be racist, but they wouldn’t even qualify to play in the little leagues.
So what am I getting for my time investment here other than an unavoidable nagging that what I’m watching is against god’s divine order?
I mean, just imagine an anime about Japanese basketball players. No way that could be good.
Yagate Kimi ni Naru – Gentlemen, I like lesbians.
tl;dr: Shoujo-ai shoujo.
Manga: https://mangadex.org/title/15329/yagate-kimi-ni-naru
Light Novel: N/A.
Animation Production: TROYCA
Yuu and Touko are two super-hot high schoolers who are constantly approached by dirty sub-10’s, triggering the gag reflex which has kept them thin through the years.
But when they meet each other, they find asexuality is only a thing until you find someone hot enough you wanna go lip to lip with. Thus results a light-hearted romance where important relationship questions are answered such as:
- “If we adopt a white kid when menopause hits are our friends gonna think we’re racist?”
- “Which one of us is gonna have to dye her hair and trade her eyebrows for 50 pounds?”
- “Is there like a weekly cunnilingus quota here or can we just kinda… permanently coast?”
Girls going nip to nip is kinda my thing, so in a couple months I’m gonna read more of the manga, coincide blacking out with my fifth ejaculation, and mark the anime complete with a 9 cuz I’m impatient and that provides plausible deniability.
Hinomaruzumou – Don’t watch, read.
tl;dr: Do you like boys?
Manga: http://manga.fascans.com/manga/hinomaru-zumou
Animation Production: Gonzo
Know how I dismissed that mediocre runner’s anime cuz the Japanese aren’t known for being speedy bois? Well they are known for sumo, and that’s about the manliest sport there is, so you’re damn right I’m in on this.
To clarify, I’m in on the manga train. Based on the LQ PV and my general experience with anime pacing, there’s no reason to spend time on watching this. But I am at least appreciative of the anime for forcing an introduction to the series.
If you’re into blood-pumping hate shit, this is where you need to be.
Dakaretai Otoko 1-i ni Odosarete Imasu. – Bleh
tl;dr: Discount gay.
Manga: https://tamago-box.tumblr.com/
Animation Production: CloverWorks
Bleh for a second time. Starting to think that cake bakeries have a point.
Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet – Good
tl;dr: I feel like everyone’s underestimating just how hard my dick is right now.
Manga: https://mangadex.org/title/15240/kishuku-gakkou-no-juliet
Light Novel: N/A.
Animation Production: LIDENFILMS
So you know how like most harem series always have MC boy and MC girl being all cockteasingly tsundere with each other? Well, what if that was resolved chapter 1? (And also everything remained generic otherwise…)
You fucking guessed it, cuz that’s this show! Anyway, this is basically the good parts of Zero no Tsukaima combined with the bad parts of a cum cooldown. Unrelated, but I’m finishing the rest of this post tomorrow.
Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara – Probably good idk
tl;dr: Looks okay but also gay.
Source: Another P.A. Works Original!™
Animation Production: P.A. Works | A rolling pin
Sure, the character designs suck. And that’s the review.
Radiant – Bad
tl;dr: Bad shounen.
Manga: https://mangadex.org/title/16444/radiant
Animation Production: Lerche
The concept of a limp-wristed populace being defended solely by the same people they despise is simultaneously relevant social critique and an intolerable plot device.
- Trigun wasn’t good.
- Trigun wasn’t good.
- Trigun wasn’t good.
There. Can we move on?
Goblin Slayer – Not like this/10
tl;dr: Perhaps the real goblin was mankind all along.
Manga: http://mangakakalot.com/manga/goblin_slayer
Animation Production: White Fox
I hope you like rape, cuz this series sure does. Though in the anime you get censored rape, which is… somehow worse.
With all the edge of Berserk but none of the heft, I can still only imagine the eyebrow-raising anime club discussions about how boundary-pushing and original this series is.
“___ but worse in every way” ain’t a winning formula in this boy’s book, Japan. The fact the mangaka didn’t have enough of an end-game for the main series that he had to split half his time with an entirely useless prequel says more than the thought-lacking script ever could.
It’s for this reason I intentionally only jacked off to Goblin Slayer half as much as I normally would. Never say I’m not principled.
Release the Spyce – Great
tl;dr: Fuck the police.
Sauce: Original anime penned by the genius who wrote the Akame ga Kill manga.
Animation Production: Lay-duce
PonyCan never licenses anything good. EXCEPT FOR THIS
(and Rokka no Yuusha, and Hibike Euphonium, and… well I guess this would be #3)
Normies who couldn’t handle Planet With, Yoru no Yatterman, or Bouryaku no Zvezda need not apply. I’m not sure whether my argument is hurt by the fact I never finished any of those.
Actually, can I get away with doing a review where all I do is namedrop and ignore the actual content of the series? Guess we’ll find out.
In Summary: 8==D
No particular order.
Great
- Release the Spyce
Good
- Yagate Kimi ni Naru
- Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet
- Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara
Okay
- Hinomaruzumou
- Goblin Slayer
- This is an unfair score, but I stand by it 100%.
Meh
- Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru
Awful
- Dakaretai Otoko 1-i ni Odosarete Imasu.
- Radiant
10 series to go, unless you can somehow convince me I’m missing something:

- Conception

>Goblin Slayer
>worse than the manga in every way
Didn’t stop you from pretending Golden Kamuy’s anime was good. Didn’t you give that a 10/10? Or is this saying you did your homework this time and winged it last Spring? Where’s the consistency? We demand our money’s worth you know.
Kamuy was good. Obviously felt like a lot was missing but I’m not sure I’d say that the gore was as important as the characters and plot. Goblin Slayer has neither, so having the blood and tits missing is far more jarring.
Shit ended at an 8 so I’m not gonna go to the mat for it but I didn’t feel my time was wasted.
What pisses me off the most about Radiant is all of the fanboys talking about how great the animation is. It is just scene after scene of pans of static scenes, static shots of the characters being jiggled around the screen, and mostly-static shots with just the mouth flaps moving. There’s no animation to speak of.
…there are people who like Radiant?
nice, see you next month for part 3
next season though, at least put the shoujo ai/yuri content in it’s own post so I don’t have to scroll through the garbage to find something good

No Index?
KYS please.
Season 1 was chill. Then it expected me to watch Railgun as the next step, and I was not about that shit – Index was always the better character.
idk, I did totally fine watching Index II without watching Railgun. Then the coming of Index III got me so hype that I finally started watching Railgun about a month ago and realized that college-aged flipr would have loved that shit and I totally missed out by skipping it.
Yeah, but I can’t respect the series past S1 because the implications of the Accelerator arc made me lose all respect entirely for Sparky and wish Accelerator died at the end of S1 so we could at least have had the “oh maybe he was only 90% bad instead of 100%” reveal have some fucking meaning.
Instead, Guro McGuffin becomes an MC and the do-nothing ‘yeah the genocide of my people is chill’ fucking wannabe human gets multiple spin-offs focusing on her? When fucking Index is literally the only character that should fucking matter even though I fucking despise lolis and I will take that spite to my grave?
No. No no no. I am out. 100%.
Fuck Japan.
Actually Sparky did something, although one would need to endure the spinoffs to actually know that.
She almost died by “fighting” (lul) against Accelerator, then she made hundreds of scientists lose their job by destroying their labs, then she almost died against Frenda (a non-ESP girl who loves making stuffed toys explode) and then she almost died against Mugino (one of the L5 espers)
So in the end, she did a lot and achieved nothing (except for making people lose their jobs. Well done, Mikoto)
Anime is bad now. It was good when I watched it.
Wait, no it wasn’t.
I have a deeply held belief that on average anime improves year by year, though that’s not exactly something that’s gonna come up in a lot of post scenarios. If this article implied the opposite, bad me.
>I have a deeply held belief that on average anime improves year by year
Manga on the other hand…
No comment. ;_;
i used to believe this too, but then this year came along. i can’t think of a single show that stood out this year as something special. it especially doesn’t help that the animation quality of the average show plummets every season.
Looks like you’ve forgotten not to write about Hangyakusei Million Arthur.
>just imagine an anime about Japanese basketball players. No way that could be good.
Ro-Kyu-Bu!
Where is my Part 3?
HOW I CAN LIVE WITHOUT MY PART 3?@#!@ D: D: D:
Hey DS I’ll write your part 3 here:
—————-
Everything else was shit.
THE END
—————-
There you go. You’ll have successfully finished your 3 parts just in time for the next season of not properly writing previews/reviews.
Wth is going on? o_o
look, i was gonna post something like “just label everything like moe-crap, shounen, LN adaptation”, but then i’d have missed out on this little zinger:
“If you’re into blood-pumping hate shit, this is where you need to be.”
Yo, you’re definitely missing out on Honda-san.
I’m missing out on everything lol
So part 3/3 sometime before 2020? Or more likely some time never.
Anything to say on the coming season?
:(
