Yes, but I use a low CRF and some post-processing so the video looks way better than the source. It’s not bitrate starved at all- some may even think I use more bitrate than I should(for an x265 encode).
B-but I started the series with them, so I need to finish it with them for the sake of consistency. But I guess I have to go with FFF’s batch release (if there will be any) for archiving purposes. And I don’t need to wait for the BDs since the TV release is decent enough for me, at least.

IDK what do you mean by that, the filesize is perfect for my HDD.
I’m a quality freak, so I just can’t stand overly reduced bitrates for the sake of HD. You know, you can easily find 1tb hd for less than 50 bucks.

I think I went over Aldnoah S1 in the review summary, and S2 didn’t seem like it’d be much different.
tl;dr: HorribleSubs/Crunchyroll will be fine (and what most people opt for), but if you want to wait for the -best release-, go with Vivid-Watashi.
Alright, I remembered you had an opinion on season one, wasn’t sure if anything had changed in who was best for season 2.
